you’re awesome!
Wow. I wish I had a better grasp of it. The chess scoop updates are fun, informative, and a learning experience, but I hadn’t remembered how much smarter and faster higher rated players are at comprehending positions. I finally realized, putting it together with your other videos like the simul at Princeton and Naked Chess, that I still don’t grasp the speed and depth of the top level players’ comprehension of positions. I have to keep pausing the videos and still don’t always get it. It’s fun to watch anyhow. I noticed that you often seem to only need to look at the pieces just for physically moving them but not for knowing the position. It would be nice to see a world championship done live like that, a little like PBS in 1972 when there were the whole games live, trying to understand them in real time.
