We’ll seen as the seasons progress, more ladies will begin racking up the bracelets you’ll see. Which is great, because i’m sick of seeing those not so very photogenic men on the front of WSOP every month.

Just imagine if men booed the few female players that played in a tournament? Sexist? Discrimination? Theres a few females in almost all competitive games that can compete with men – It doesnt make it sexist, It just points to the fact that men are generally stronger at the top levels of competition. I dont know why, but theres alot of evidence to back this up.

Rebekah, Thanks for your comments. Sadly, if you check out the article link above, you’ll see that I didn’t quite make it to Monte Carlo, though I will give it one more try tomorrow. Yes, let’s definitely chat- I’ll add you on facebook or you can send me an email. Cheers, Jennifer

I wrote the article on the PokerStars blog referred to throughout the BWOP controversy. I really enjoyed reading your response to the “fiery comments” as you put it. I’m glad to have a world chess champion defending my point of view, since as you said, the field issue is very similar. I would love to chat with you some more about it, and write about it for my column on Examiner.com (I’m the National Women’s Poker Examiner for the site.) Please contact me if you get a chance. By the way, here’s the link for the original story about women at the PCA on the PokerStars blog. http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/2010/watch-out-the-women-are-coming-063753.html

It is an interesting perspective to look at the question of ladies only events solely as a poker player, as opposed to how one may look at some other gender segregated issue. Very thought provoking.

Thanks
