People often ask me, how many moves do you see ahead? I usually say something either misleadingly impressive, like 22 (in a king and pawn endgame) or “one”, in  reference to a legendary Grandmaster assertion that “he sees one move ahead- but it’s the right one.”

Right now my answer is four. It doesn’t take a psychic or Grandmaster to tell you we can’t afford four more years of Trump.  

People I love have died, joyous events have been cancelled while news of death and disease pour in. This pandemic has spared no one, and showed us so clearly the need for social safety nets and a shift in our country’s direction.
